I haven't decided on the name of tarball (ion2-DATE, ion-2rDATE, ion-DATE, etc.) either yet, but I think the Debian package should reflect that. I actually considered renaming everything to 'ion2', but then decided on just the user directory as the tarball can be installed in a path that doesn't interfere with other versions. (And IMO everything should be installed this way by default, with symlinks to the binaries. But, alas, directly under /usr/local is the standard.) > Will the dock completely replace/incorporate ion-devel-dock or is it going > be different? It will be the dock written by you and Tom Payne that will be incorporated, if it is ready. Another potential addition is an optional autoconf script (to generate system-ac.mk), if anyone cares to write one. > > Note that you need to upgrade Lua to the 5.0.1 > > pre-release. > > This release won't work at all with Lua 5.0.0? With the default configuration files, it will work, but will complain of broken querylib.lc on startup (and fall back to the source querylib.lua). However, the same bug that causes the compiled file to be broken, also occasionally causes some functions in querylib to become missing, depending on the contents of all the files loaded by then. -- Tuomo
