I use the following now:
winprop {class = "Fig", instance = "edit_panel", transient_mode = "off"}
winprop {class = "Fig", instance = "library_menu", transient_mode = "off"}
winprop {class = "Fig", instance = "set_choice_panel", transient_mode = "on"}
I tried the set the transient_mode for set_choice_panel to off. But I
didn't like that setting, because the selections are placed on top of
the window. So I had a long way with the mouse to select a button.
This problem is also the reason, why I want a quick way to toggle the
transient_mode for the set_choice_panel.
My idea for this are window specific keybindings. So I could use a
keybinding in a xfig window to toggle the transient_mode for the set_choice_panel.
But it seems, that I am the only user with such a requirement :-(
