Hello all

I'd like to announce the IoTivity Contrib repository (still to be created). I
requested this to the ISG and it has been approved.

This repository will contain contributed code to us that are in addition to
the core IoTivity functionality and services. Examples of additions would be:

 * domain-specific demos
 * experiments
 * language bindings
 * additional functionality that cannot (yet?) be added to the main repository
 * etc.

This repository will have a lower QA requirement, so we may be able to accept
code that doesn't yet meet our requirements for the main repository for demos,
examples, bindings and functionality. In addition, this repository will have
relaxed licensing requirements, so it may also include code that uses/links to
libraries whose terms aren't enclosed by the Apache License version 2
(example: LGPLv3 and GPLv3).

To be clear: this repository is will not be required for OIC compliance.
Nothing you find in it will be required on devices in order to pass
certification. However, at the device implementer's option, they can pick and
choose components for their own devices.

Steps to get this working:
 * update the IoTivity website to link to the repository and to make the
   points of the previous paragraph clear
 * create the repository in the infrastructure
 * find a gatekeeper for the repository

I will take care of all three tasks. I'm sending another email about the
gatekeeper now.
