Madan,

Thanks for the note!

Sure. If the fix is trivial like simple memory leaks, I can take it. If the
corner case is complex we will need some documentation so that testers
understand. In some cases, bug fixes that are complicated cannot be taken if
they *might* cause other issues. We prefer known issues in a release over
unknown issues. :)

Doxygen improvements... of course.
Unit tests... if they pass. :)

Jon and I may see things that are good for cherry picking, but please send a
note (in commit message, in email, etc.) if there is something that you want
cherry-picked to v1.0.0. Some folks have already moved on and are working on
post-v1.0.0 changes and I do not want to pull anything into 1.0 unless it will
really make the release better. It creates more work for the testers if the
release keeps changing.

Subject: Re: [dev] Release v1.0

Hi Pat,

As there are lot of checkins happening for the following cases

1) Minor bug fixes - Found by developers for the corner cases

2) Doxygen improvements

3) Unit testcase updates

For the above commits, we can neither publish in dev mailing nor a JIRA ticket
exists.

I would like to know if these kind of commits can be cherry picked to 1.0.0
release branch.

Thanks,

Madan

Title : [dev] Release v1.0

To all,

As we progress towards v1.0, I want to remind contributors on some issues
related to submissions.

* Please make sure your submission compile. I look at submissions that
do not compile last.

* If you are addressing an issue with a Jira ticket, mention the ticket
in the git commit.

* If you want your changeset to be cherry picked into the 1.0.0-dev
branch

o Mention it in the iotivity-dev list for discussion

o Mention it in the git commit comment

o Mention it in the Jira ticket (if applicable)

I am sure that I will have additional comments that will help expedite reviews
as we move to the official release so continue to track this list.

Pat
