Hi All,
After a closer look at the https://gerrit.iotivity.org/gerrit/#/c/3135/ we have
identified that there was an issue, which caused the longer build times by
rebuilding examples multiple times.
The fix can be found here: https://gerrit.iotivity.org/gerrit/#/c/3329/
Thank you,
Tim

Sungkyu,
Please verify that this PC has access to the Internet (socks proxy settings,

Sungkyo,
Thanks for the additional information. I think that they either bumped up the
tools version or need some additional feature from the android SDK which would
explain the issue. If this is the case, we need to get the documentation
updated so that others do not run into the problem.

Dear Pat,

In fact, this build error occurs at only one of our test PC.

In this PC, we meet the Android build error after
https://gerrit.iotivity.org/gerrit/#/c/3287/ (1.0.0-dev).

but source code before this commit, there is no Android build error.

However we found that only this PC has the problem and others are fine.

Therefore, I think it's not a blocking issue to tag RC2.

Thanks & BR,

Sungkyu Ko.

Uze,
What is the build issue? Gerrit and the build machine seem happy.

Hi All
There seems to be issue from android build after
https://gerrit.iotivity.org/gerrit/#/c/3287/ (1.0.0-dev).
After analysis of this problem, we will add tag RC2.

Hi Pat,

Among the features you?ve listed up below,
I think only Block-wise transfer and ZigBee can be the blocking features for
RC2 release.
And BWT fixes are already in RC2, and additional ZigBee features are better not
to block RC2 as Vijay mentioned in other email thread.
Regarding RA, RD, and Message Routing, let?s try to get them in RC3 as much as
we can.

June,
Once again, contributors send to me on their schedule. I can only ask them for
their plan. Unless the initial review is perfect it is still difficult to
determine when a feature will exit review.
We have covered the list before at the member?s meeting, but some of the key
features for v1.0 (above 0.9.2) from DCTG are:

? Standard specification B compliance

o Remote access (optional in standard, was experimental)

o Resource Directory (optional in standard, at risk)

o BLOCK-wise transfer (originally introduced in v0.9.2)

? Features beyond the standard

o Message Routing

o ZigBee

Hi Pat, Vijay,

The thing is that the more ZigBee features are really required ones for
IoTivity 1.0.0.
I think I didn?t receive the list of features you are considering more about
ZigBee.
You know, RC2 version can be the final candidate.
When do you expect they will be completed?

Regards
June

Zigbee is the mandatory feature that should be in 1.0.0, so the fix of it
should be in rc2. When do you expect them to be fixed?

June,
There have been issues in the ZigBee, RD and other reviews. I can create the
RC2 tag but it will not have the code that is currently under review.

Dear IoTivity members,

The next 1.0.0-RC2 will be released on 9/28.
Please complete RC1 QA testing by 9/25, so that we can release RC2 on time.

Vijay,
Could you provide the list of the features will be added on RC2 regarding
ZigBee?

Pat,
Korea has Thanks-giving big holiday during 9/26~9/29, so please tag RC2 on 9/28
after Intel feature fixes are completed.
I?ll inform you just in case Samsung?s problems will still remain until 9/28.
