Hi Dave,

major OS sounds good.
Is this the list we want to start with?
Ubuntu, Windows, Tizen, Android

thanks

Goal is to simplify ticket creation and the overall flow by now asking for
information that is either not needed at all, or that could also just go into
the Description field:

remove OIC alignment related field, as it is no longer used
remove Operating System field OR simplify the choice to major OS
  remove Transport field
  remove SDK/Services field
  remove Operating System field
  remove Operating System Type
  remove Processor/Architecture field

The 5th entry in the list duplicates the 2nd entry.

As platform support maintainer, I will argue for "simplify the choice to major
OS".
We have a separate sub-maintainer for each major OS (Ubuntu, Windows, Tizen,
Android, ...) and having that be in a multi-valued field is useful so that if a
bug filer doesn't know the appropriate maintainer, I can use that field to add
them. Most of the time it's obvious from the title and details if it's
specific to a particular OS, but having a field makes it easy to construct
queries that are useful for platform support (sub)maintainers.

I'd like to see the "proposed changes" page implemented, doesn't mean
we have to be completely done with the other discussions. Were there
answers for the bits with questions? (mainly whether to have any
presence of iotivity- constrained and iotivity-node). The
updated/added components would be helpful in categorizing.
