I hadn't heard of Xenomai before now. If you get this working I'd be
interested to hear what impact it has. My sense is that it would probably
make performance more stable across separate Iperf tests.  It may also
boost performance but that isn't quite as clear cut.

It looks like to do it properly it will require changes to the Iperf
source.  Neither Iperf 2 nor Iperf 3 have explicit support for Xenomai at
this time.

If you decide to modify the code to do Xenomai I'd suggest starting with
the Iperf 3 code base:

It's under active development and is a lot cleaner.
