Hello,
    I've got a pair of FreeBSD machines both running freebsd 5.3-RELEASE and
ipfilter. Both boxes are loading ipfilter via a loadable kernel module from
rc.conf:

ipfilter_enable="YES"
ipfilter_rules="/etc/ipf.rules"
ipfilter_flags=""

On one box ipfilter starts without giving this error message, the second one
does:

"ioctl(SIOCIPFL6): invalid argument"

I thought this had something to do with the fact that the second machine was
not running a kernel with the ipv6 option in it, so i adjusted it but that
didn't solve the problem. The first machine is running with a kernel
securelevel of 1 while machine2 is at the default, so i would have expected
this from box1, other than that machine1 is running ipnat box 2 is not. When
i log in i have to reload ipfilter on box2 although it says loading ipfilter
and it is in the kernel the rules are not active. Reloading the rules
corrects this, but i don't get any ipf syntax errors.Any suggestions
appreciated.
Thanks.
Dave.
