Hi Chet I met the same phenomenon, but when I start ipfilter it works.
I don't understand what's going on. > We are trying to install ipfilter 4.1.7 on one of our Sun Fire V240s > here and are having problems getting the pfil installation > complete. Following the README I was able to build and install the > latest pfil package (solairs make, forte 7.0). The installation of the > package completed with no errors, /etc/opt/pfil/iu.ap looks correct > and the reboot was clean. However when I run the strconf command ( > "strconf < /dev/bge" ) I don't see pfil. The ipconfig <if> modlist and > modinsert commands worked ok but I suspect the lack of the pfil in the > streams list is going to be a problem.
