Something caught me out, and I thought I might share in case it gets somebody else:
Got an iPad two recently. Did the following: 1. Plugged it into my MacBook Air, just long enough to have iTunes "unlock" it so I could use it. Didn't sync - don't have the storage space to waste! 2. Used it for a couple days. Installed apps. (The new "Install" button is very nice. Beats my previous trick: try to write a review. It won't let you start to write a review if you haven't bought the app...) 3. Plugged it into my 15" MacBook Pro with the (nearly filled) 500GB disk, synced it with iTunes. New iPad. Didn't turn on app syncing. 4. All my apps are now gone from the iPad. I'm pretty sure that the newly purchased apps did get downloaded to the MBP. But I need to go through and re-configure them all, log in again, etc. Overall, a very annoying experience. I'm not sure what I did wrong. (My Air has a 128GB disk. iPad has 32. a) Don't want to dedicate 25% of my Air to backups, b) want to use the iPad as an extension: Store media on the iPad rather than the Air) Any thoughts? _______________________________________________ iPhone-talk mailing list [email protected] http://www.omnigroup.com/mailman/listinfo/iphone-talk
