Has anybody found that a cloud-based app they use on the iPhone has been shut down?
At MacWorld, I talked to a company with a $2.99 panoramic stitching app which did the processing "in the cloud". I asked them how much it cost to run the servers, and how long it would take to cost more than $2.99 per person. I pointed out to the rep that they were promising to run a server forever for a single $2.99 payment. He'd never thought about it that way. I haven't heard of any iOS cloud systems shutting down, but I'm sure it's happened. Anybody know of any?
