Im sure im not the only developer here , but just for your info quite recently 
recurring charging was added to the ios sdk. I believe it was due to this 
problem. The number of cloud based programs is quite large on the app store. 
And due to the fact its really difficult to sell apps i would imagine some have 
closed. Hopefully recurring charging will at least help them survive slightly 
longer. 

Personally i just stay away from cloud apps (except games ). App selling is 
really tough. There is no way an app with a rating under 100 reviews can 
survive with cloud servers (unless they were just making it for fun and run the 
server for more then just that app.
