Which is why you get a local data SIM when you get there... Not an option with an American contract-registered iPhone 5 with ATT, of course. It's BETTER? A correspondent told me he landed at Heathrow with an iPhone set to receive push notifications via location services). He didn't do anything actively and remembered to turn off "data roaming" and "Cellular Data" within an hour but still incurred a bill for a few hundred dollars. The cost for another correspondent whose daughter managed to download a movie to her iPhone before her parents realized what she was doing was quite a bit more (of course, it WAS Hi Def). -- Jim Robertson _______________________________________________ iPhone-talk mailing list [email protected] http://www.omnigroup.com/mailman/listinfo/iphone-talk
