I wish they would get the LTE running in SLC. I bought a Verizon iPad since I
can always use an AT&T SIM for their HSPA+ etc "4G" services, which are pretty
fast (a random test on my iPhone 4S just now showed 7.31Mbps down and 1.35 Mbps
up and I have seen a lot faster at "off" hours OR I can use the Verizon service
if in an LTE area. However, I don't activate the data unless I have a real
need since I work form home and have my phone most of the time with me and WiFi
works just as good for me (my random test I did just now showed my WiFI/Comcast
getting 15.21 Mbps down and 4.25 Mbps up at this moment -- also have seen close
to 20 Mbps and slightly faster ups at "off" hours like the middle of the night
when I am burning the midnight oil).

But with the phone, which I use all the time, and often over the air instead of
WiFi/Comcast since it is my main portal and when I am out and about I use it
over AT&T, I would like to get that speed. I don't download tons of stuff but
better response on email and web surfing and stuff like that would be nice. I
too am on an old AT&T unlimited plan on my phone.

I have not ordered an iPhone 5, as I am waiting to finish the project I am on
right now, to get paid to have the dough to do so, but will probably get an
unlocked one later this Fall since my "cheap phone" term is not yet up and I
would like to have it for my travels overseas as well. And I will also
continue with the iPhone 4S (using a nano-micro SIM adapter) since I have to
test apps and stuff. The wife will get an iPhone 5 upgrade though as she is up
for a "cheap" phone.
