I've read 3-5 articles online about which iPhone 5 to get if, like me, one spends part of the time in the US, and part in Europe. The LTE frequencies used in Europe are all over the map.
A general recommendation seems to be get the Verizon phone here. IT's unlocked for GSM (so apparently it's both a CDMA and GSM capable device, while the ATT phone is only GSM), thus one could use a European GSM carrier's sim card, adn the LTE frequencies supported on the Verizon model are more widely used in Europe than the ATT LTE frequencies in that phone. However, I have yet to find specific data for the LTE frequencies used in Spain (rather, I seem to find conflicting information), and there appears to be enough variability that I'd like more solid data before pulling the trigger. Anyone been to Spain yet with an iPhone 5?
