Switch to any other app Tap the home button two times. That should show the running apps along the bottom. Hold your finger on the app you want to stop: Contacts All of them should start wiggling and have a red minus sign decorator. Tap the minus sign of the one you want to stop and it should vanish. Tap the home button and then restart the Contacts app. See if the problem is gone. Report your results..
