I had a number of good suggestions here - thank you!!

I will try this, but if not, it looks like a trip to the Genius Bar...

I appreciate the help!

Hi all:

I am experiencing some very weird behavior on my iPhone 6 (not 6S or Plus
or any other modifier).

First, Sometimes the touch-screen stops responding. It's not that it gets
slow - it just stops - there is no response at all. The only way to get it
to respond again (that I've found) is to lock the phone and unlock it
again. The home button and the other physical buttons are unaffected.

Any idea of what to do? Is this an indication that I need a new
screen/phone?

Any help is appreciated!

I suggest you try a hard reset. Hold the Home button and the ON/OFF button
together and continue to hold (about 7-10 seconds) until the Apple logo
appears. Then release both buttons and wait for the reset process to
complete. When its finished, it will return to the lock screen. That should
do it. Let us know.
