Yes sorry should of said that. Heres the code i'm using to preload.

var imageOBJ = new Image();
var images = ["images/image01.jpg", "images/image02.jpg", "images/
image03.jpg", "images/image04.jpg", "images/image05.jpg",];

for(var i=0; i<images.length; i++)
{
    imageOBJ.src = images[i];
}

The images being loaded doesn't seem to be an issue it's just the
image swapping itself that gets choppy.
