ok - everyone - i am bored by this flame war i managed to this evening successfully create a simple app version of a website using phonegap after not knowing buggar all 24r hours before hand (and being pc based and having to do it on a friends macbook) - there were simple spelling errors in using phonegap at first (talk about having to cross t's and dot i's) and their tutorial has a misleading copy and paste which if you followed it blindly wouldnt work
