you can use php but you need to put a value to your cookie, and put a
positive date :)
setcookie('init', 'tadaa', time()+3600);
and to read it:
echo (isset($_COOKIE['init']))?$_COOKIE['init']:false:
if you leave setcookie('init','',time()-3600); like this, you actually
unset the cookie :)
