Hey Remi,

initially we made the PercentMobile integration similar to the GA one, but
the integration meachnism isn't working in older releases such as 0.3.1.
Thats why we changed to simply monitor the URL hash, benefit is that it
works in jQTouch or homegrown mobile ajax based sites as well.

Ok, you asked for it:)

Key-Differences between GA and PercentMobile that mobilists will appreciate.
We are 100% mobile centric where as GA (which is fantastic of course) is
desktop centric. We provide an report that not only provides ranking on your
mobile device vendors or mobile operating systems, but also ranking on:

- Operating System,
- Release Years,
- Camera Types
- Weight (important factor in certain cultures)
- ...

We tell you how many phones had a full keyboard, how many non-phones such as
iPod or Archos 5 came visiting, how many had touchscreen, et cetera. Also we
have network operator ranking and tell you how much traffic came from WiFi.
All this filterable, so you can look at i.e. your visitors from russia that
used a QWERTY keyboard HTC device.

When it comes to device and network recognition we are different from google
as well, for example GA tells you that your Blackberry visitors came from
Canada or your Opera Mobile vistors from Norway. We can analyze those. We
also differentiate between iphone models.

Given the growing importance of the mobile web its helpful as a developer to
know what handsets you are developing for and for the marketing department
to understand the mobile audience. Our service is free, but since we don't
have the infinite pockets of google we are very soon rolling for pay report
enhancements such as data export or trending. Last but certainly not least
our reports work on mobiles as well.

Does that convince you? ;)

best,
stan
