Your code makes a square blue box in the upper left corner of the
screen. Removing absolute, top, left, doesn't change the existing
radio buttons either.

The color is there so you see it easily. The size is just arbitrary.
You can also try adding something like this too
input[type="radio"]{
outline: 10px solid transparent;
}
This should increase the hit size too.
