Hi,

PHP is a server-side language, that typically gets interpreted by a webserver, when called from a client.

PhoneGap is "just" an encapsulation service, that wraps a web-based application in Objective-C code, so it can be made into an app for the App Store. I know it does more than that, but that's what PhoneGap basically does.

So you need something to interpret your PHP?

So why do you need PhoneGap? Do you intend to sell your app?

If not, why don't you just put your app on your homepage, and send Apple a notice about your app, and get it published on the Web App page?

Hi,

I have been using JQTouch to create my php based web application, I
was just finishing off yesterday and getting ready to deploy/publish
to the App store.

I downloaded phonegap and following instructions, installed, imported
my application and when I went to build and go, I got a blank screen?!
- I searched google and, I think the problem is, can't have php in
phonegap?!!

Can someone please help me, I have tried and tried many things and
keep getting stuck, first I tried XCODE (too difficult to get on with)
then DASHCODE with JSON (was finding it hard to do certain things)

until I found JQTouch, great, now how do I deploy/publish my app?!
