Have you tried Firebug in Firefox?
The right justified text comes from:
iui.css line 278
.panel > ul li, .row {
text-align right;
}
The height of the background comes from:
iui.css line 31
body[orient="landscape"] > *:not(.toolbar) {
min-height: 468px;
}
