Hi Duncan, Our IBM System x test team recently tripped over the ipmitool SOL segmentation fault defect in v1.8.8 that Jarrod Johnson described in ipmitool's "Bugs" (#1518188). You included Jarrod's subsequent patch for this problem in the ipmitool CVS tree on 7/28 and our test team has proven that this new ipmitool build fixes the SOL problem they were seeing.
We were wondering how soon you might be rolling the ipmitool version to 1.8.9 and picking up the latest fixes currently in your CVS tree?
