I have sucessfully been able to use SOL for my Supermicro ipmi cards
(with versions below). However I have noticed something disturbing:

If I invoke 'sol activate' on a host that is listening on ttyS1,
everything is good. However if I ever make a mistake and invoke sol on a
host that hasn't been configured for serial console, ipmitool hangs and
WILL NOT quit. No ^C, no ^Z, no escape keys, nothing. Actually the
escape keys work for the first keypress, then somehow you get completely
disconnected from the session.

The only way I have been able to stop it is by directly killing the pid
from another terminal. This freeze happens whenever the "remote side of
the serial pipe" is broken: I can see the bios POST output (albeit very
slowly and jerkily, even at 115.2k baud), but if a non-configured Linux
boots, the ipmitool session hangs.

I am using version 1.8.7. Has this been fixed in a future version? If
not the hang, at least let us kill it with a ^C.

Thanks,
Federico
