If the machine is on then IPMI works fine. If I power off the machine with one method, then IPMI will usually continue working, but if I power it off with another method, then IPMI connectivity will disappear altogether. They don't really seem like they are interested in the problem either. Caveat emptor. But at least you might want to experiment with different shutdown methods and see if one of them is more reliable than the others. -- Eric A.
