I think there's a combination here of me not doing something write, and a bug in the tool. - ----- currant:~# ipmitool user User Commands: summary [<channel number>] list [<channel number>] set name <user id> <username> set password <user id> [<password>] disable <user id> enable <user id> priv <user id> <privile level> [<channel number>] test <user id> <16|20> [<password]> currant:~# ipmitool user list ID Name Callin Link Auth IPMI Msg Channel Priv Limit 2 rmunsch true true true ADMINISTRATOR 3 hobbit true true true NO ACCESS currant:~# ipmitool user priv 3 2 Set Privilege Level command failed (user 3) currant:~# ipmitool user priv Segmentation fault currant:~# - ----- Currant is a Dell SC1425 running a kernel.org 2.6.16.29, patched with the appropriate OpenIPMI diffs. As you can guess, the hobbit client script doesn't currently have permission to access ipmitool and i'm trying to correct that. Although maybe it's the file permissions on /dev/ipmi0 that are to blame, not sure. In any event (so to speak), what info would be helpful in regards to this segfault? - -- Rob Munsch Solutions For Progress IT www.solutionsforprogress.com -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.5 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with Mozilla - http://enigmail.mozdev.org iD8DBQFFSLgHBvBcJFK6xYURAntQAJ4lC3R6+H5u00QrcHVHQuQhvPyzuQCfQ+lB euzXHDn0beT8cOIDJ55z3NM= =8KM7 -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Using Tomcat but need to do more?
