This is just a guess. Since you use a different IP address than the node, maybe XXX.XXX.XXX.205 hasn't been resolved to the right MAC address. You can check your ARP cache via /sbin/arp. If it isn't, you might want to see if gratuitous arps are turned on in your BMC configuration.
