Hello Sorry, it's might be the incorrect list but I don't found informations about setup IPMI over Lan
I'm running a debian sarge 3.1 with a 2.6.20 kernel open ipmi kernel driver are loaded and works correclty. My motherboard is a supermicro p8sci Supermicro told me to use their proprietary software and that I should remove every other thing!!!! To remove every kind of hardware monitory tools that are not made in supermicro ! Moreover told me too that I can't run IPMI over other lan interface than the first the LAN motherboard port with the same IP as the server ! So I do this and ... and sure now my server doesn't answer anymore !
