I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask this question.
This is my setup -
shelf-manager connected to a carrier-board (and an AMC module plugged into this
carrier board)
Can I do the following using the ipmitool ?
Try upgrading the MMC firmware(on the AMC) via a LAN connection to the
shelf-manager ? Will the 2 level message bridging work ?
ipmitool -I lan -H <ip_addr_of_shelf_manager> -t <MMC_IPMB_address> hpm
<filename> ?
The above doesn't seem to work.
Does the ipmitool work only with native COM ports? Will a USB to Serial
interface work?
