Hello Everyone, I was curious if the error messages reported by ipmitool when a mismatched password is given could be improved. Specifically, when trying to connect to a Supermicro IPMI 2.0 BMC with the wrong password:
ipmitool -H somehost -U user -P password -I lanplus sol activate -- Error: Received an Unexpected Open Session Response Error: Received an Unexpected RAKP 2 message Error: Unable to establish IPMI v2 / RMCP+ session Error: No response activating SOL payload -- The first two lines is probably due to this crappy non-dedicated MAC IPMI firmware on this dual Opteron board. --David ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: Microsoft Defy all challenges.
