Hi Petter,

It's very good to hear from you. I believe the current cvs tree is
ready to roll to 1.8.10 immediately! :-) I've updated the ipmitool
changelogs with all the changes up to now so I believe all that's left
to do is:

1) change the version string in configure.in
2) update debian/changelog to bump the version for the 6/19 patch by
Steffen Grunewald which allows debian package builds from cvs. (Sorry,
I would have done this, too, but I wasn't sure how you wanted it done.)
3) put a date stamp in ChangeLog
4) put a date stamp in ipmitool.spec.in

And I believe that's it! Then the source tarball is ready for posting! :-)

I would be very happy to help with this but unfortunately, I will be
flying out of town tonight and will have limited (or possibly no :-(
web access for the next two weeks. For future releases, however, I
would be happy to be trained as a delegate for whenever you need help.
I don't know if any of the other ipmitool developers can help this
time, but as you mention, there are reasons why rolling asap would be
very important.

Anyway, I'm very sorry I can't help with the administrative final
steps of the roll this time. I know how busy you are and I (and many
others) greatly appreciate all the ongoing help you've given our
project. :-)

Thanks very much again,

Carol
