Also the Default Gateway MAC has not been resolved.

Subject: [Ipmitool-devel] Configuring LAN -- Commit Write?

Am trying to configure networking parameters on a SuperMicro-based
system running Solaris 10 U8 (Supermicro X8DT3 motherboard).

ipmitools are the vendor provided SUNWipmi package which appears to be
v1.8.8.

I've run the following:

ipmitool lan set 1 ipaddr 192.168.6.18
ipmitool lan set 1 netmask 255.255.0.0
ipmitool lan set 1 defgw ipaddr 192.168.254.254
ipmitool lan set 1 ipsrc static
ipmitool lan set 1 arp respond on
ipmitool lan set 1 arp generate on
ipmitool lan set 1 arp interval 5
ipmitool lan set 1 access on

But still cannot access the interface. ipmitool lan print 1 shows:

  # ipmitool lan print 1

                          : O=OEM

I notice "Set in Progress" shows "Commit Write" instead of "Set
Complete" -- I imagine this is the reason. The settings haven't been
committed yet.

Anyone know how to get things to "commit"? I've tried restarting the
IPMI service to no avail.

Thanks,
Ray
