Actually, since our (i.e. KAME/BSD's) getaddrinfo() and getnameinfo()
use this mapping, all applications that use those two functions are
affected, including ping, traceroute, ifconfig, netstat, route,
   telnet, ssh, ftp,...

=> change the dynamic library and recompile all statically linked
applications?

So we should probably provide some trick to ensure backward
   compatibility for such applications.

=> a MAY was proposed... But I am in favor of a *short* period with
the trick enabled by default.
