Hi,
Having read the above draft, i reckon that it is a very simple and effective
mechanism for Prefix Delegation to implement.
Also, in addition why not carry out the following prefix allocation in the
diagram under Section 3.1.
1. Lb receives RA with prefix delegation option containing /56 prefix, e.g.
aaaa:bbbb:cccc:dd::/56
2. If a bit in the prefix delegation option format is not set(stateless=0,
stateful=1), then automatic assignment of /64 prefixes on Gx and Gy will be
Gx <= aaaa:bbbb:cccc:dd01::/64
Gy <= aaaa:bbbb:cccc:dd02::/64
.
.
Gn <= aaaa:bbbb:cccc:ddff::/64
or depending on the site's requirements
Lb <= /56 prefix
Gx <= /58 prefix
Gy <= /58 prefix
and the length of the prefix to be allocated on the site link can be specified
in the prefix delegation option format as well.
Regards,
Sean
