The problem I have with this is, if I decide to implement temporary
addresses
to enable something like Netscape to use it, with the IESG suggestion,
I will also have to revisit at the same time rlogin and many other
applications that rather like to
use permanent addresses.
This would create a serious burden to first identify all those
applications
and second to modify them all before I can release support for temporary
addresses
in the OS.
And as I do not control 3rd party applications, this gets even more
complex.
So, I'm very worried that the IESG suggestion could end up being a reason
for me not to implement temporary addresses at all.
