Can you explain the reasons of the divorce? What new stuff do you have
on the front of making PI scalable? Exclude map-and-encap, 8+8, GSE and
MHAP as these are not PI solutions.

Unless you have some realistically deployable answers to the question,
calling for PI now is a gamble that we will find a way to clean it or
leave behind a mess 10 times bigger than the v4 swamp.

Closing the door to straight PI is not an option anyway, as straight PI
is the last resort if everything else fails.
