:--) Yeah something is odd there....

What I have done was to set the "Nat Gateway Host" to the public IP address
of the server not it's DNS name.
That and I set the registry key to 1 as mentioned in the Ipswich KB article.

IMHO they need to make the reg-key a checkbox in the client ASAP.
Also document that NAT HOST can be an IP Addr.

Also, Imail can support multiple domains on one server, what about the IM
server? Will an update allow this??

And also is it just me or is the builtin "BIFF" broken?? ( the pop3 email
checker if you don't know what BIFF means )
It's greyd out in me... even when checked.

Subject: [IpswitchIM_Forum] IM Problems outside of firewall

Here is a strange one for IM:

I am using IM internally with a private address. I have NAT running on
a firewall and have an external client. The client can sign in just
fine. The users in their personal contacts are grey with a question
mark. The users in the groups I have created show up correctly with a
smiley face if they are logged on. If I attempt to chat from the
outside to a user that is configured in a public contact and shows
online, they get the message but they cannot reply to me. If I close
that message box and let them initiate a chat to me (I show up as
online), then we can talk.

Strange!

I know IPSwitch is working on a fix in this direction. Please consider
using me as a test site if necessary. Having it run through a firewall
utilizing NAT is critical for me.
