Yes that works this is what I am doing for my users.
Are all you users in local to you network or are they via the internet,
if local then you could create a domain for the users who you want to
use it.

Steven,

Try checking the 'Hide from information services' option in the IMail
Administrator for the users that you don't want to show up.

While I like IPSwitch's IM and for the most part did not have much
trouble
with it during my evaluation, in my opinion there was one critical issue
that has kept me from implementing IM.

When you use the Imail database for the users in IM, all the Imail
users
show up in IM even if you don't want them to. AFAIK there is still no
way
to control this. I need a way when using the Imail database for IM I
can
control who can/can't use IM and who does and doesn't show up in the IM
list.

Has IPSwitch come up with a solution for this problem yet?
