If you desire to truly disable the Client Update after you have activated it then,
Close the IIM Server Manager and go in the registry and Set the following key to 0

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Ipswitch\Messenger Server\Settings\Client Update Timestamp

Reopen the server manager and restart the service

Your users will no longer be prompted to update, I will caution you, if you do this if
you decide @ a later point that you want to force a client update again it will not
work the first time.

One of the defects fixed in Version 1.02 was when you Attempt to Force a Client Update
it wouldn't work the first time. The cause for this defect was due to the registry key
above being set to 0, so if you set it back to 0 you will have this problem when/if
you decide you want to Force a Client Update.

A note on how Client Update works:

When a client connects to the IIM server it looks at the Client Update Timestamp on
the server (Registry key above) and the Timestamp it has in it's registry
(HKEY_Current_User\Software\Ipswitch\Messenger\Version 1.0\Settings\Client Update
TimeStamp) and compares them.

- If the Clients Value is 0 then the client will set it's Timestamp to the one on the
server

- If the Timestamp on the server is greater than the one on the server it will have
the client prompt the user to update their client.

- If the Value on the Server is 0 the client will set it's value to 0

So you don't know how to either huh? instead of trying to keep this a
corporate secrete why don't you just tell me that there is no way to turn
off a forced client update once initiated?

Thanks for nothing and wasting more of my time...
