We have been using the IM since version 1.0. We have approximately 100 users simultaneously. We have been having constant problems with clients getting dropped and users being forced to log back onto the server, and slow response time (sometimes up to 30 seconds for the message to appear in the window). I have just recently moved the IM Server to a dedicated box, a P3 600 with 256 MB RAM. I upgraded to the current patch level, 1.03 and redeployed the client to all users, fingers crossed that this might reduce the problems we are encountering. Within Server Manager I have checked Force Clients to use Persistent Data connection. Please, anyone with more insight, I would sure like to continue using the product but the boss is about ready to dump the whole thing.
