After installing Ipswitch IM software our XP users immediately noticed that the
keypress response was quite sluggish and delayed in legacy DOS database
programs we still use, especially when we had other Windows programs open also.
Windows Millennium users have no problems.
There must be some difference between the Win 98/Me family and the Win 2000/XP
family. Has anyone else noticed this?
To resolve it we have to use the older and more limited command.com rather than
cmd.exe. The icon for command.com has a property where we can increase the
idle sensitivity. Not a complete solutions or a neat workaround, but it works
meantime.
