Downloaded LAME zip file, unzipped it, and gave it a try. It wants to be put on the command line. Example: ">lame -f Okinawa Bandscan.wav Okinawa Bandscan.mp3." I did that. Nothing happens. Running LAME.exe does nothing either. Perhaps it wants to be part of the Goldwave program. $45 for the program. If it works, fine. Pricy for me, but I've got to get rid of these cassettes. > >If its just AM DX, encode it at 32K Mono 16hz and all will be good, that's >what I use.. and what I do. Exactly. Most of my recordings are 3-kHz or so bandwidths. Any help from you or anyone else on converting WAVs to MP3s would be VERY, VERY helpful. > >Paul Charles ----- Charles A Taylor, WD4INP Greenville, North Carolina" _______________________________________________ IRCA mailing list [email protected] http://montreal.kotalampi.com/mailman/listinfo/irca Opinions expressed in messages on this mailing list are those of the original contributors and do not necessarily reflect the opinion of the IRCA, its editors, publishing staff, or officers For more information: http://www.ircaonline.org To Post a message: [email protected]
