I have to agree with Paul here, and want to add that when local IBOCers like WBBM (all new..and has been IBOC days for quite a while) pause and have dead air you get the IBOC slopping onto that dead air, so once can imagine why it compromises analog audio quality.
Great reception from Narragansett area ! Grandparent's summer home was near Bonnet Shores..I had phased Beverages aiming down the coast, and with a big family GTG there and a few asking questions about my radio hobby, I (without telling anyone before hand) used WTAR 790 music for entertainment as background dinner music (around 1980 I recall) phasing out Providence's WEAN. Not a soul complained about the audio quality (R390A and good speaker) ... Waterpath is fun even in daytimes. I just wonder what a mess IBOC has made of the daytime dial from Pt Judith now ? 73 KAZ ----- Original Message ----- From: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Tuesday, May 01, 2007 8:33 PM Subject: Re: [IRCA] AM IBOC editorial update > "You will never work for my company" ???
