Yes, though still useable. Everything has some point of diminishing
returns. I have a roughly 950' roll of #14 I use occasionally. It seems to
have more than adequate signal and can be phased against a shorter wire run
parallel a few feet away. I have a 450' roll of the same stuff I use for
that. If those wires could be set out in a smaller land area, it would be a
boon!

I really need a big ol' box of "round tuits". That zigzag test has been on
my list for a long time. I'll try to get that done before the ground
freezes and the snow flies. I think it would be useful, if it worked.

Now, apply that concept to flag antennas. Wouldn't it be nice if a
20'x100'x20' flag could be compressed to a quarter of that size? Especially
if the pattern were intact and the only change was an overall signal drop.
Heck, a flag that size could be turned by a rotor. I tried a *very* small
flag antenna made by winding 100' of wire on two horizontal pieces of PVC
pipe, and two 20' lengths on the two verticals. It sorta worked, but not
all that well.
