-------------True Russ but the two faults are so close together that the 
seismologists are speculating on how this Calaveras quake will affect the 
Hayward fault, since a biggie has been
predicted on that fault within the next 30 years (give or take an eon).  Keeps 
em working and out of the bars I'd say.
