Colin,

I've not heard from you in response to my note asking for your phone
number and whether I could call you this weekend. I fear that I may
have (completely unintentionally) hurt your feelings related to the
mechanics of putting the Ultralight Firsts and Records list on
DXer.ca. For whatever I said, I'm really sorry.... and I would like
to talk to you about that soon, if I could call you at a mutually
convenient time.

Also, I decided to respond outta the group to your upload yesterday
about the term "Ultralight." I was originally going to upload this to
the group as I routinely would.... but perhaps this is a better
method of communicating a very different view of your terminology concerns.

Colin,

I respectfully but profoundly disagree. An Ultralight aircraft is
just that.... an Ultralight Aircraft. If some people wish to call
them "Ultralights" for convenience, and they do.... that is fine with
me. An UltraLight radio is a radio that our Definitions Committee has
defined, approved or certified (you may use the term of your choice)
as an "Ultralight." If any of us wishes to refer to those particular
radios simply as "UltraLights" or "Ultralights" for convenience, that
is completely their privilege, IMHO. The proper term would not be
"Ultralight Radio"(ULr) as you propound but rather "Pocket Radio
Certified as 'Ultralight' by the Definitions Committee of the
Informal Ultralight Radio Enthusiast Interest Group" (PRCUDC of the IUREIG)
