I've been tramping all over the tri-state (NYC) area and didn't get a 
chance to sit down and give this thing a close listen until tonight. I 
ran it through a whole bunch of noise reduction, and here's what I think 
I hear:

There are at least two stations here, one with a woman's voice reading a 
phone number that ends in "34-71." Under that, the target station fades 
up with "and AM 960, WVPO, Talk Radio." There's a man's voice after 
that, just before the clip ends, that says "8:31 at WV" and then the 
clip cuts off.

It's true that WVPO isn't on 960 - it's 840 in Stroudsburg PA - but the 
two stations simulcast with a talk format (no Air America, as it turns 
out; it's Imus followed by a bunch of second-stringers) and brand as 
"WVPO." The WPLY calls are used only once an hour.

That's what I hear, anyway. I'm e-mailing Barry my noise-reduced 
version, which he's welcome to post...
