Better if it came directly from Nick, Gil.  However, basically it's a DR-333 
(one of the original old black box
receivers) hooked up to a laptop using a program that he himself wrote that 
samples each 9 kHz channel and shows
the signal strength graphically on a screen.  He can also choose a number of 
channels and save the information for
days and weeks at a time.  Very interesting stuff!  .....Walt.
